SUV collides with truck, killing 6

CHANGSHA -- Six people were killed and another three were injured after a sports utility vehicle and a cement truck collided head-on in central China's Hunan Province Thursday evening, a municipal official said Friday.

The accident happened at about 9:40 p.m. on the Loudi-Lianyuan Highway in Loudi City, according to a Loudi municipal government official.

Five people died at the scene. Four people were rushed to the hospital and one died later, he said.

An investigation into the cause is under way.
