Website launches English, Tibetan versions(TibetCulture.net)
Updated: 2008-01-29 10:47 TibetCulture.net (http://www.tibetculture.net), the official website of China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture (CAPDTC) launched English and Tibetan versions Friday to meet the needs of readers from home and abroad. Dubbed "Heaven for Experiencing Tibet Online", TibetCulture.net launched its Chinese version in January 2006 with the aim of showing today's Tibet via its' culture. In order to better serve overseas surfers, TibetCulture.net launched its English version with columns on history, culture, religion, Tibetology, custom, Tibetan medicine, education, art and travel. China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture (CAPDTC) is a non-governmental organization composed of volunteers from home and abroad who love Tibetan culture and care for its preservation and development. On July 20, 2007, CAPDTC was officially granted UN Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council. |
