Yellow River turns red in Lanzhou

Local residents look at the
polluted river at the Lanzhou section of the Yellow River in downtown
Lanzhou, capital city of Northwest China's Gansu Province, on October 22,
2006. A sewerage pipeline released red sullage to the river and the cause
of the pollution is under investigation, local media reported.
