Cops save critter making tracks across expressway

A hedgehog in Zhejiang Province risked its life early Tuesday morning by crawling across an expressway linking Shanghai and Ningbo. Fortunately, policemen saved the critter.

A sedan driver, the first person to discover the hedgehog on the expressway, pulled over and got off to catch the hedgehog, which caught the attention of two patrolmen.

They ticketed the driver for illegally stopping on the expressway and took the hedgehog back to the police station. The policemen fed it pork and watermelon and set it free on a nearby hill.
