Kidnapping, robbery insurance plans launched in Guangzhou

Guangzhou citizens can pay at least 131 yuan to buy an insurance policy with a maximum medical and accident coverage of 110,000 yuan in the event of robbery or kidnapping.

The insurance, launched by the American International Assurance Co Ltd (AIA) in Guangzhou, will be available for purchase from November 8 to December 31 this year.

According to a source familiar with the issue, there are five plans available for customers, with the highest premium being 1,241 yuan per year for a maximum coverage of one million yuan.
