No 2 Crowdfunding

Crowdfunding refers to funding a project or a company by pooling money from many people, usually via the Internet. Since 2011, about 30 crowdfunding platform companies have been established in China. As of Sept 30, China had at least 100 crowd-funding platforms, and the nine leading project-oriented platforms had raised 292.15 billion yuan for 327 projects.

Dreamore is a successful example. It was founded in September 2011 and now has more than 1,000 projects, half of which have been successfully funded. The nation's crowdfunding market could reach $46 billion to $50 billion by 2025, and the market for all developing countries could be $96 billion by then, according to the World Bank.
