Chinese stocks open lower - April 18

BEIJING - Chinese stocks opened lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 2,181.82 points, down 0.55 percent.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 8,837.25, down 0.64 percent.
