Foreign visitors to the Chinese mainland totaled 19.36 million in the first nine months of 2013, down 5 percent year-on-year, according to the National Tourism Administration. Visitors from Asian nations totaled 11.8 million during the period, down 5.92 percent year-on-year, with arrivals from Japan down 23.84 percent.
