Rural restoration

The Dalian city government has earmarked hundreds of millions of yuan since last year to restore the ecosystem in rural areas. The fund is used for household waste and sewage treatment as well as protecting sources of drinking water. More than 150 local villages will benefit from the environmental move by the end of this year. Governments at local levels are encouraged to increase investment to provide benefits to all rural residents in Dalian.
