Trade between China and Colombia spiked in recent years as both countries adopted measures to strengthen business relationship.

Among the companies that have been helping to facilitate and safeguard trade and investment between both countries is 8 Legal, a law firm with offices in both Colombia and China.

"Eight years ago, during one of my trips to China - 'the land of the great wall' - I started to explore ideas on how to really connect the cultures of Asia and Latin America, and especially of Colombia and China," said the firm's managing partner Mauricio Chaves.
