170,000 govt micro blogs

China had more than 170,000 government micro blogs by the end of 2012, according to a report by the E-Government Research Center of the China Academy of Governance issued on Wednesday. The annual report said the number was almost 2.5 times that of the previous year. The report added that government micro blogs are becoming more integrated platforms, allowing the government to communicate with the public and provide services.
