More lovers get married in Hangzhou, the "heaven on earth" in Zhejiang
Province this year, and they pursue fashionable weddings.
Hangzhou Civil Affairs Bureau reveals that 30 thousand couples registered
their marriage in the first half of this year, while only 40 thousand registered
in the whole year of 2005.
Nowadays, more and more young white collars in Hangzhou prefer Western-style
weddings, seeing this as an excellent business opportunity, many Western food
restaurants and cafes make it a point to offer wedding buffets to attract the
newly weds.
Most guests are their young friends and colleagues. These young people
believe Western-style food and decorations in such restaurants and cafes can
create a romantic atmosphere. Currently there are hundreds of wedding
celebration agencies in Hangzhou.
The competition being very fierce, each agency tries to beef up its
competition edge by offering unique services for their clients. Mr. Wang, who
worked for a wedding celebration agency, said more and more young adults were

become popular in recent years.
