Li Hongbin is a motorboat driver and coach in Shenzhen border detachment. As he was tasked with ensuring security for 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Li was unable to hold his wedding ceremony and take his wife Zhang Hui to honeymoon as he had promised her.

During the past eight years, Li, who was always too busy with work, seldom had time for his family and he felt he owed it to his wife and daughter. This year's Army Day is Li's last one in uniform as he is going to retire at the end of the year, so he planned a surprise wedding ceremony with his brothers in army to make up for the lost opportunity.
