Chinese Premier Li Keqiang delivered the government work report on the opening day of the third session of the 12th National People's Congress in Beijing, March 5, 2014.
In a review of the work during 2014, Li pointed out that great energy was channeled into making adjustments to the structure of industry. The focus was on fostering new areas of growth by encouraging the service sector to develop more quickly and support the development of strategic emerging industries, including the mobile Internet industry; integrated circuits industry; high-end equipment manufacturing and the new-energy vehicles industry. Internet-based finance rose swiftly to prominence while E-commerce, logistics, express delivery services and other emerging businesses developed rapidly. He said "creators" have appeared thick and fast, and the cultural and creative industries have been developing with great vitality.
"Creators" was written in the government work report for the first time, so creators become famous, as the Premier's work report contributed significantly to make the term well-known.
