China established the first database that will integrate information on elderly care brands and a research team to work on a system to objectively evaluate different pensions.

The team will focus on creating a platform of information on elderly care brands and provide consultation on institutions. It was founded by the China Research Center on Aging.

Cao Jian, deputy director of China Research Center on Aging, said the team will also promote Chinese pension brands to a global market and assist Western brands in China.

"The elderly care industry is a new market and in need of objective evaluation and we are aiming to give senior citizens reliable references when they choose elderly care institutions," he said.
