Liu Fang, who used to enjoy eating frog hot pot, suffers from symptomatic epilepsy due to a parasitic infection on her left frontal lobe, even though a 10-centimeter tapeworm was removed through surgery three years ago, Chongqing Morning Post reported on Wednesday.

Liu often falls to the ground and twitches without any warning signs. Because of the illness, Liu cannot work and needs care at all times.

"I have to control my emotion because thinking too much will cause twitches," said Liu.

"There was a time when I went out with friends to eat frog hot pot frequently, and that's probably the reason I was infected with parasites," she added.

According to doctors, tapeworms can be found embedded in the body of frogs and snakes even after being stir-fried.
