Wuhan schoolboy Huang Yibo, 13, became an overnight sensation after blogging about watching prime time news on China Central Television since he was two years old and reading People's Daily since the age of seven because his father asked him to do so. Huang, known as the deputy chief of all Wuhan's young pioneers, poses like a professional politician in most photographs. His white armband bears five red strokes. Most Chinese have never seen more than three strokes, a sign of a young pioneer leader of a school. Two strokes indicate the wearer is a monitor of a class and one stroke indicates he or she oversees a small team. People criticized Huang for his enthusiasm for politics and high positions, which saddened the 13-year-old.

Many people considered Huang a young representative of the bureaucrats. But it is not fair to criticize Huang, for he is only a 13-year-old boy, who still lacks enough knowledge and experience to build his own value. His parents involved him in politics, which most people do not like. So Huang became a target for people who dislike the dark side of politics – corruption, bureaucrats and privilege.
