Policeman kills knife assailant(Shanghai Daily)Updated: 2007-01-05 14:17 A Hong Kong policeman shot dead a 47-year-old man who had attacked him with a knife during an anti-burglary operation yesterday morning, police said. The identity of the man who died in the case had been confirmed, police said without disclosing the name. The man, aged 47, was intercepted by police officers on Shek Po Road in Tin Shui Wai District shortly after 5:10am. The police officer was reportedly stabbed repeatedly during the struggle with the man.
