Earthquake jolts seas near Taiwan

An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted the sea waters south
of Taiwan at 9:55 a.m. (Hong Kong time) Sunday.
According to the Hong Kong Observatory, the epicenter was initially
determined to be 21.5 north latitude and 120.7 east longitude, about 130
kilometers southeast of Kaohsiung.
