James Soong, chairman of the pro-reunification People First Party

Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province May 5, 2005. Soong, the
second Taiwan opposition leader to visit the mainland, began what he calls a
bridge-building visit to the mainland Thursday. He is scheduled to meet with
Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist
