The third "Slek China University Students Beauty Pageant" for the Beijing area was launched Oct 19, 2011. Representatives from Xrui Magazine, the organizer, Beijing Tang Tang Tang Cultural Dissemination, the designated partner, and other institutions attended the press conference.

Established in 2008, the "China University Students Beauty Pageant" aims to provide a platform for university students to display their talents. This year's event will join hands with a charitable institution – the name of which the organizers did not disclose – to integrate charity and beauty. A portion of the prize will be donated to charitable causes.

Chinese pop girl-band UP Girls also showed their support at the press conference. Their new single "Sweet Party" will be released at the end of the month.

Contestants will receive training prior to the competition free of charge, including vocal trainings and personalized fashion designs. Two renowned actors from a hit TV show will be guest judges at the final competition. Participants also have an opportunity to star in the movie "Love Life (tentative)" to open more doors in the entertainment business.

Six auditions will be held. Applications will be accepted between Oct 19 and Nov 19.

Audition timeline:

Nov 19 – 20: First and second group

Nov 23 – 24: Third and fourth group

Nov 26 – 27: Fifth and sixth group

Dec 3: Final competition
