Britney spears who is expecting her second child with husband Kevin Federline - admits she has become paranoid about her parenting skills after being criticized on several occasions for her actions with son Sean Preston.

She said: "To sum it up in a nutshell - being a mum is one of the scariest things there is. I didn't want to respond to a lot of things people have been saying because it has been rubbish."

The pop princess also revealed that her second pregnancy came as a shock to her and Kevin - who has two children from his relationship with actress Shar Jackson - and was not planned.

She revealed to Britain's OK! Magazine: "I was shocked because it was so soon and I was a little scared at first.

"Kevin was a little shocked too. But his shock turned to excitement and he just said, 'Let's just go for it!"
