China's Bank of Communications reported a net profit increase of 1.5 percent year on year to 37.32 billion yuan in the first half of 2015 on Thursday. [Photo/IC] |
Its net income earned by commission rose 23.47 percent year on year to 19.39 billion yuan, according to the bank's interim report.
The bank's total assets hit 7.12 trillion yuan, up 13.62 percent from the end of 2014, while its outstanding loans edged up 8.08 percent to 3.71 trillion yuan.
The bank's shares surged 7.6 percent to 5.66 yuan per share on the Shanghai bourse on Thursday.
