Sinopec says Jan-Sept net profit up 11.5%

BEIJING - The China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), the country's largest oil refiner, said on Thursday its net profit hit 56.4 billion yuan ($8.4 billion) during the first three quarters this year, up 11.5 percent year-on-year.

Earnings per share stood at 0.651 yuan during the period, also up 11.5 percent, according to the third-quarter business report the company released on Thursday.
