China Windpower to build hybrid wind-solar projects

China Windpower Group Ltd has signed agreements for hybrid wind-solar projects in the provinces of Gansu, Liaoning and Jilin and Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the South China Morning Post said, citing Chairman Liu Shunxing.

Liu said the company is entering the solar power industry to increase its chances of connection to the power grid, the Hong Kong-based English-language newspaper reported today.
