Rental prices of "grade A" or top-end offices in Shanghai are forecast to jump by 15 to 20 percent each year until 2009, said property consultants.

"The rising demand is derived from mainland enterprises, professional services companies and the international financial sector," said one consultant.

Strong demand and limited supply in the top-end office market would continue to see rents being pushed up.
