Little movement on mainland, 04/04

China's main stock index closed almost unchanged yesterday. The Shanghai Composite Index ended at 3,291.54 points, 0.01 of a percentage point higher than the previous day.

A total of 492 companies on the Shanghai A-share market gained, while 294 saw losses. Turnover was heavy at 113.26 billion yuan, against 107.14 billion yuan on Monday.

Shares in port operators and airport companies performed well yesterday. Tianjin Port rose 5.15 percent to 15.12 yuan and Yingkou Port rose 9.16 percent to 15.85 yuan.

Shanghai Airport climbed 4.88 percent to close at 26.67 yuan yesterday.
