A new citywide tourism card offering unlimited annual access to 24 scenic spots was introduced on March 31 at a press conference held by the Yantai municipal government.
Priced at 198 yuan ($28.8) for the standard A card and 98 yuan for the B card — available to students and seniors 60 and up — the card allows free entry to sites including Penglai Pavilion and Kunyu Mountain National Forest Park. The combined single-entry value of the sites totals nearly 1,500 yuan.
The card is issued by Yantai Cultural Tourism Industry Group and is available in three formats: a physical Yantai Bank IC card, a non-financial physical card, and a digital card accessible through the "Yantai Tourism Card" WeChat mini-program.
Cardholders also receive discounts at select hotels and dining establishments, with ongoing projects to expand benefits across the region.
Available now, the card can be purchased through the mini-program, at Yantai Bank branches, or at the Chaoyang Memory Store in the Chefoo district.
