As spring warms the water, hundreds of swans have recently arrived at the Huangtai Lake water conservancy scenic area in Qian'an, Hebei province.
The elegant birds can be seen foraging, playing, and dancing in the sky, creating a beautiful ecological picture that attracts many residents and photographers.
In recent years, Qian'an has invested 13 billion yuan ($1.9 billion) into treatment for the Luanhe River's urban section, creating 14 square kilometers of water surface and over 450 hectares of ecological islands, according to local officials.
Thanks to this green development, the number of wild bird species in the area has increased from 128 to 196.
