Savile Row, the legendary street that has defined the standards of men's tailoring for centuries, recently witnessed a signing ceremony between Chinese menswear brand Saint Angelo and Scabal, a renowned textile house, marking the launch of the Saint Angelo Maestro Atelier.

Alongside the agreement, a "Maestro Bespoke" collection was unveiled, featuring 30 exclusive Scabal fabrics selected to commemorate a three-decade milestone. The event also marked the establishment of the Maestro Atelier.

Saint Angelo said its confidence is rooted in a database of 10 million Chinese figures, which enables a pattern DNA tailored specifically to the Chinese physique. By analyzing how the body anchors and flows, the brand has developed a sartorial system based on long-term physiological observation. This data-driven approach, combined with multi-stage processing and rigorous fabric selection, aims to meet the structural needs of the modern gentleman.

"What we bring is not just a suit, but a contemporary posture that belongs to China," said a representative from Saint Angelo.

David Ward, a veteran with over 20 years on Savile Row, has been appointed as the craftsmanship maestro. "A great suit is about the rigorous control of proportion, line, and architecture," Ward said. "It is about hand-forging a person's character into the cloth. I share a resonance with Saint Angelo that transcends borders."

Moreover, design maestro Gianluigi Di Nino said Saint Angelo's use of elements of intangible cultural heritage, including Song brocade, in modern tailoring had inspired him to fuse Western aesthetics with an Eastern narrative.
