The Silk Road International Communication University Alliance was established at the Youth Bonds on the Silk Road International Youth Video Exchange Program Shaanxi Creative Camp and Outstanding Works Showcase, which concluded in Xi'an on Jan 18. It attracted many domestic and overseas film and television industry experts, university scholars, and young creators.

This marked a new chapter in the large-scale and mechanized development of in-depth cooperation between universities along the old Silk Road in terms of international communication.
The alliance was initiated by Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and consists of more than 10 key journalism and communication universities in China. That list includes the Communication University of China, Xiamen University, and Northwest University. It aims to break the barriers and academic boundaries between schools and build a cooperation platform for resource sharing, talent training, and content creation.

Sun Zao, deputy secretary of the CPC XJTU committee, said, "Xi'an Jiaotong University is exploring a new path of 'technology supporting humanity' through the integration of industry and education. The establishment of the alliance will build a more dynamic creative ecology for global youth and inject new momentum into the international communication of the Silk Road."
The Youth Bonds on the Silk Road International Youth Video Exchange Program took "youth perspective + digital intelligence empowerment" as its core philosophy and achieved outstanding results last year. It built a matrix of more than 200 international young creators covering 30 countries and cultivated a group of young image ambassadors through over 100 hours of professional training.
It has also built a digital resource base, collecting more than 600 video works in more than 10 languages, including English, Russian, and Arabic. These spanned multiple forms, such as short documentaries and mini dramas.

With the establishment of the alliance, the ancient Silk Road is transforming from a trade route into a digital civilization bond and a means of bridging hearts, charting a new course in global communication.
