The Ministry of Commerce announced on Friday that China will continue to impose anti-dumping duties on imported ethylene propylene diene monomer from the United States, South Korea and the European Union during a review investigation period.

The investigation, set to be launched on Saturday and scheduled to conclude by Dec 20, 2026, will assess whether ending the current anti-dumping measures would lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to the domestic industry. This decision follows an application filed by major domestic producers in October 2025, according to an online notice released by the ministry.

After a preliminary examination, the ministry found sufficient evidence to proceed. Interested parties are invited to register for the investigation within 20 days.

Upon the recommendation of the ministry, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council has decided that anti-dumping duties will remain in effect during the investigation period, in accordance with the product scope and duty rates specified by the ministry in December 2020.

China first imposed the duties on imports from the US, South Korea and the EU in December 2020 for a five-year period. The rates range from 214.9 percent to 222.0 percent for US companies, from 12.5 percent to 24.5 percent for South Korean companies, and from 14.7 percent to 31.7 percent for EU companies.
