The first flock of mandarin ducks has arrived at Taihu Fairy Island in the Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, Wuxi, this autumn.

These ducks are selective about their habitat, acting as indicators of environmental health. They thrive only in pristine aquatic habitats with high water quality, abundant forest coverage, and suitable climate conditions.
