Guangdong railways set passenger record during National Day holiday

The National Day holiday, coinciding with Mid-Autumn Festival, led to an increased railway passenger flow, according to Guangdong railway authorities.
From Oct 1 to 8, China Railway Guangzhou Group transported 21.8 million passengers, an increase of 1.04 million passengers, up 5 percent compared to the same period last year, setting a new record, the railway group said on Thursday.
