The fully upgraded 2025 version of the classic dance drama Legend on the Silk Road was staged during the 8th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo on Sept 20 at the Dunhuang Grand Theater.

Inspired by the art of the Dunhuang Murals, this updated production captivated audiences with its exquisite choreography, immersive storytelling, and advanced stage technology.

The performance vividly recounts a story of friendship between ancient China and Persia, celebrating cultural exchange and harmony along the Silk Road.
