At the Summer Palace, a renowned historical tourism spot in Beijing, a staff member effortlessly has her introduction translated into various languages via a cutting-edge AI-powered handheld translator, while the foreign visitors, who are delighted to take the earphones, learn the history of the imperial park through the translation.
This scene within the palace grounds in Haidian district marks a transformative shift in the tourist experience.
On June 10, to welcome the surge of visitors from non-English-speaking regions during the summer peak, the Summer Palace initiated a comprehensive translation system trial, a technological advancement which underscores the park's commitment to smarter services.
