The World Cultural Heritage list includes only one Chinese library—the Sir Robert Ho Tung Library in Macao. The building was once a noble mansion and was later converted into a public library in Macao. Today, the library houses about 5,000 old books, including a Cantonese version of "Robinson Crusoe", and provides every reader with a space for mental rest.
