Expo gives craft professionals a stage

Professionals from 16 countries and regions have gathered in China's capital to exhibit diversity in craftsmanship and a visual blending of cultures and openness by bringing together manual work, modern design and cultural heritage inheritance. It is vividly presented through various materials from the traditional — bamboo, porcelain, metal and lacquer — to products of modern industries.
The expo is part of the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism and celebrates the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-French diplomatic relations.
