Countryside of shared prosperity

To gain a more profound understanding of what exactly the terms "shared countryside" and "countryside of shared prosperity" mean, I met Lu Yangchun, secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Village Committee.

He explained that after the unified circulation and management of the farmland were realized, the villagers didn't have to worry about growing food. Instead, they had lots of time on their hands so they started to develop other parts of the local economy.

"Cailu village deepened the integration of the first, second, and third industries", or the development of agriculture, industry, and service or tourism sectors, Lu explained.

Over the past two decades, Cailu village has witnessed rapid growth, with the countryside transforming into parks and farmland transforming into scenic spots. The collective income of the village and the income of the farmers have both increased exponentially.

"In the future, we intend to utilize our 'shared countryside' to promote cultural and tourism sectors. We will develop the tourism industry, grow more food, make our village more beautiful and allow our villagers to have more income," said Lu.
