The Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link opened in September 2018.
It takes 14 to 19 minutes to travel between the Shenzhen Futian and Hong Kong West Kowloon high-speed train stations.
The opening of the XRL marks Hong Kong's official connection with the national high-speed railway network.
With the help of the Beijing-Guangzhou Passenger Line and the Hangzhou-Fuzhou-Shenzhen Passenger Line, the XRL links Hong Kong, the Capital Economic Circle and the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone.
