There are 10 Dai stockades located in Wuhe, Tengchong, Southwest China's Yunnan province, where more than 2,700 Dai people live.
Over the years, the production and life of the Dai people have changed dramatically with the development of the society. However, brocade, an ancient skill that thrived in the farming era, has not disappeared.
Now in the Dai stockades, there are still people spinning, weaving machines. During the slack farming season, the quiet Dai courtyard still rings out the rustling sound of weaving.
