US extends tariff exclusions on 99 categories of medical goods

The United States is extending tariff exclusions on about 99 categories of medical products from China until Sept 30, 2021, to help the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, according to an announcement from the US Trade Representative's office on Wednesday.
The exclusion list covers a wide range of items from surgical masks and gloves to blood pressure cuff sleeves and X-ray tables.
Previously, tariffs on those medical products were excluded until the end of March.
