Top 10 highest-paid CEOs at listed companies
Chinese news portal Jiemian and news aggregator toutiao.com recently released a pay list of CEOs at A-share listed companies in China, with Li Ge, president of pharmaceutical and medical device provider WuXi AppTec, topping the list by earning 17.11 million yuan ($2.5 million) in 2017.
Out of a total of 3,515, 946 CEOs earned more than 1 million yuan last year, an increase of 46 percent on a yearly basis. Average pay of top 100 CEOs reached 5.57 million yuan, lifting the Top 100 benchmark from 2.96 million yuan last year to 3.64 million this year.
Biomedical, electronics and chemical industries generate the most CEOs paid a million yuan or more, with the biomedical industry topping the list. That sector has 98 CEOs with paychecks of one million yuan or more.
