In the beginning of 2017, American brand Maybelline chose Hong Kong actor William Chan as the new face for its lipstick. The actor, who often calls his fans "queens", named the color of one lipstick "queen hues".
Later in June, when the popular TV drama Princess Agents was on the air, Lin Gengxin, who played the leading role in the series, was also spotted in Elizabeth Arden lipstick commercials.
